Mitigation of Calcium-Related Disorders in Soilless Production Systems

چکیده
In the current scenario of human-driven climate change, extreme weather events will likely affect agricultural production worldwide. Soilless systems have recently arisen as a solution to optimize use natural resources, such water and soil, hence contribute reducing environmental impact agriculture. However, nutritional imbalance due adverse factors, drought, high temperatures, salinity, might produce calcium-related physiological disorders during plant growth, blossom-end rot (BER) in fruits tipburn (TB) leaves, which are serious problem crop production. Here, we discuss different agronomic, physiological, genetic factors that favor induction BER tomato TB lettuce anticipate an integration breeding technological approaches alleviate soilless systems.

Meta-Analysis of Methane Mitigation Strategies: Improved Predictions of Mitigation Potentials and Production Implications
The aim of this study was to use meta-analysis to identify the enteric methane (CH4) mitigation strategy that reduced CH4 emission without lowering production. To this end, a database initially developed was updated, compiling data from 61 publications (233 experiments) for various observations in dairy cattle on effects of hydrogen sink (H-sink), ionophore, lipid and conc...
متن کاملA collusion mitigation scheme for reputation systems
Reputation management systems are in wide-spread use to regulate collaborations in cooperative systems. Collusion is one of the most destructive malicious behaviors in which colluders seek to affect a reputation management system in an unfair manner. Many reputation systems are vulnerable to collusion, and some model-specific mitigation methods are proposed to combat collusion. Detection of col...
متن کاملeffect of different substrates on tomato production in soilless culture
abstract this study was performed in order to determine a suitable alternative substrate for peat in soilless culture in 2007. different plant wastes including carbonized rice hull, saw dust and dry pine leaves (pinus eldarica) were examined. treatments were 100% peat as control, peat plus dry pine leaves (1:1 v/v), peat plus carbonized rice hull (1:1 v/v) and peat plus saw dust (1:1 v/v). the ...

Molecular Fingerprinting of Microbial Populations in Soilless Culture Systems
The molecular fingerprinting technique (PCR-DGGE) of microbial populations was successfully adopted for soilless culture systems. Relatively low concentrations of microorganisms in the nutrient solutions could be assessed. PCR-DGGE was applied in several experiments to compare the composition and diversity of the bacterial populations in different treatments, as well as at different locations a...
